Belgian-born singer-songwriter and producer Lynn Verlayne knew that one day she would go to New York City to pursue her musical dreams. When she was 19 she made that move with not much more than two suitcases. In her first few years in New York, Lynn surfed from couch to couch, playing gigs in the local NYC scene and writing her early material. Because she couldnt afford a piano, a friend would sneak her into Columbia Medical School to practice on Rachmaninoffs concert piano, which had been donated to the school after he died. Lynn would lock herself in there for days, writing songs that eventually ended up on her debut album. Drifter was released by SONY in her native Belgium, leading to great reviews and lots of attention from press, radio and TV. Lynn went on as an independent songwriter to produce and release 3 singles in 2011 under her own label. All three reached the top 10 iTunes and airplay charts in Italy, as well as receiving major radio support elsewhere in Europe, including France, Switzerland and Monaco. Currently Lynn is busy writing and producing from her home studio in Brooklyn, both alone and together with major label and independent songwriters.
